Matthew practised at a magic circle law firm for almost 25 years, mostly based in Hong Kong. He took Silk (England & Wales) in 2014 and moved to the Bar (London) in 2021. Matthew qualified as a solicitor in Hong Kong in 2001 and became a solicitor-advocate in 2013 (he is now non-practising as a Hong Kong solicitor). In addition to taking arbitrator mandates in Hong Kong, Matthew also maintains an active practice out of Fountain Court Chambers in London and Singapore. Matthew’s arrival adds to our strong bench of arbitrators which includes the Hon Geoffrey Ma and Ng Jern-Fei KC. The full list of arbitrators at Temple Chambers can be viewed here.
