Sheena joined Chambers after completing pupillage with Mr Bernard Man SC, Ms Maggie Wong SC, Mr Jin Pao SC and Ms Queenie Lau. She has a broad civil practice, with experience in areas such as trust, probate, bankruptcy, insolvency, land law, conveyancing, defamation, matrimonial law, employment law, construction law, judicial review, arbitration and general commercial law.
Sheena has appeared in the District Court, High Court and the Court of Appeal as a sole advocate or as a led junior counsel, and accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ work.
Tao Soh Ngun (also known as Lo To Li Kwan) v. HSBC International Trustee Limited [2019] HKCFI 1268 (led by Mr Paul Girolami QC, Mr Eugene Fung SC, and appearing with Mr Wilson Leung and Ms Janet Ho) – 33-day trial, represented the defendant in breach of trust claims concerning the Lo Family Trust
Times Square Limited v. Lee Kwun Kit trading as “JL Music” & Ors. [2020] HKCFI 438 – successfully obtained default judgment for permanent injunctions against persons unlawfully occupying the Times Square open piazza by busking or any other forms of street performance; [2019] HKCFI 1641 & [2018] 5 HKLRD 248 – represented the plaintiff in successfully seeking interlocutory injunctions (led by Mr Jin Pao SC)
Lee Carol v. Tong Hung Wai Tommy & Ors., HCMP 1851/2018 (led by Mr Abraham Chan SC) – successfully obtained an ex parte interlocutory injunction with respect to the access, care and supervision of an elderly patient
Represented the SFC and obtained ex parte worldwide and local Mareva-type injunctions under section 213 of the Securities and Futures Ordinance against 16 defendants (led by Mr Bernard Man SC)
Obtained ex parte Mareva and proprietary injunctions against second-layer fund recipients and banker’s books disclosure order in an email fraud case (sole advocate)
Advised a bank (acting on behalf of a syndicate of lenders) on an urgent application for ex parte Mareva injunction in aid of foreign proceedings under section 21M of the High Court Ordinance (Cap. 4) (led by Mr Charles Manzoni QC SC)

The Commissioner of Estate Duty, HCED 1/2011 (led by Ms Yvonne Cheng SC) – represented the Commissioner in a 11-day trial on appeal against determination of estate duty involving valuation of land and claims for debt deductions

Global Gaming Philippines LLC v. Deutsche Bank AG (Hong Kong) & Enrique K Razon Jr [2019] HKCFI 405 (led by Mr Victor Joffe QC) – represented the plaintiff in third-party discovery application in respect of breach of contract claim
K & L Gates v. Aggarwal & Ors. [2019] HKCFI 702 (with Ms Eva Sit) – represented the 9th and 11th defendants in a 3-day specific discovery application in respect of knowing receipt and negligence claims; [2019] HKCA 350 – successfully resisted the plaintiff’s applications for leave to appeal to the Court of Appeal and stay of execution of specific discovery order
Ng Ting Kwok v. Ng On Kwok and Dan Yin Ping [2017] HKCFI 2335 – successfully obtained summary judgment in respect of debt claim (led by Mr Victor Dawes SC); [2018] HKCFI 2438 – upheld on appeal (with Mr Jonathan Chang)
