    Nicholas joined Chambers after completing pupillage with Mr Anthony Chan SC, Mr S.W. Lee, Ms Elizabeth Cheung, and Mr Danny Tang.

    Nicholas is developing a broad civil and commercial practice and accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ work. Since commencing limited practice, he has appeared in the High Court in a summary judgment application in a claim of over HK$64 million and a 10-day trial.

    Nicholas graduated with First Class Honours from University College London, ranking in the top 5% of his class. He then obtained the BCL from the University of Oxford, where he served as Editor of the Oxford University Commonwealth Law Journal. He has published in peer-reviewed journals.

  • Oriental FA Limited v China East Development Limited & Ors, HCA 1420/2025 — obtained summary judgment for HK$64.48 million, defeating an illegality defence founded on the Money Lenders Ordinance (with Danny Tang)
  • HCA 1326/2025 — advising defendants in a contractual dispute over an investment (with Danny Tang)

  • Bedrock Manufacturing Europe BV & Ors v Whalet Limited, HCA 1026/2022 — acted for the defendant money service operator in a 10-day trial, resisting claims in constructive trust and unjust enrichment (with Danny Tang)
