    Jonathan has a broad civil practice, with a particular emphasis on commercial dispute litigation, judicial review, tax and probate matters. He has sat as a Deputy High Court Judge in the Court of First Instance of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in various periods since 2022. He is the Chairman of the Hong Kong Advocacy Training Council, the training arm of the Hong Kong Bar Association responsible for developing advocacy skills of practising and pupil barristers in Hong Kong. He regularly teaches in advocacy training courses in the Chinese Mainland, England, Singapore and Malaysia.

    Jonathan has extensive experience in arbitration in Hong Kong, both acting as an arbitrator and as counsel. He is a regular speaker on Hong Kong arbitration principles and practice in foreign-related arbitration training courses for practitioners and professionals in the Chinese Mainland organized by the Hong Kong International Talents Training Academy.
