翟紹唐先生自1990年起在香港私人執業。翟先生於1987年及1989年分別在倫敦經濟政治學院及牛津大學取得法學士及民事法學士學位。他於1988年在英格蘭和威爾斯獲得大律師資格，並於1989年在香港獲得大律師資格。翟先生於2002年以36之齡獲委任為資深大律師，並於2006年至2014年出任為高等法院原訟法庭特委法官。
翟先生現為香港小交響樂團副主席、團結香港基金研究委員會會員、西九文化區管理局董事局成員及其表演藝術委員會主席、醫院管理局成員及證券及期貨事務監察委員會紀律研訊主席委員會委員。他曾任監警會主席（2008年至2014年）及最低工資委員會主席（2011年至2017年）。其他公職包括非應邀電子訊息（執行通知）上訴委員會主席、暴力及執法傷亡賠償委員會主席、「沙士」信託基金覆檢委員會主席、行政上訴委員會副主席及稅務上訴委員會副主席等。
