Karen joined Chambers after completing her pupillage with Ms Eva Sit SC, Mr Keith Lam, Mr Marco Li and Ms Sara Tong.
Before being called to the Hong Kong Bar, Karen worked as a Legal Intern at the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) in London, where she assisted on competition law cases before the English Court of Appeal and the Competition Appeal Tribunal.
Karen is developing a broad civil practice and accepts instructions in all areas of Chambers’ work.
Quaestus Capital Pte Ltd v Everton Associates Limited  HKCFI 1367: appeared on behalf of the 2nd Defendant to challenge the jurisdiction of the Hong Kong courts over various tort claims on the basis of an exclusive jurisdiction clause in favour of the courts in London (led by Jin Pao SC).
Ng Wing Hung v The Council of the Law Society of Hong Kong  1 HKLRD 1267: appeared on behalf of the Respondent to resist an application for leave to apply for judicial review to challenge the Respondent’s intervention into the practice of a solicitors’ firm (led by Abraham Chan SC and with Justin Ho).
Ng Hon Lam Edgar v The Hong Kong Housing Authority  HKCFI 2719: appeared on behalf of the Respondent to seek a stay of proceedings pending the determination of a case before the Court of Appeal (led by Abraham Chan SC).
New Century Credit Services Company Limited v Yeung Hung  HKCFI 2651: appeared on behalf of the 3rd Defendant by counterclaim, a solicitors’ firm, in a 10-day trial to defend against claims of breach of fiduciary duty, breach of trust, misrepresentation, and undue influence (with Sara Tong).
Appeared as sole advocate in an HKIAC arbitration arising out of a contractual debt dispute.
Appeared in an application for interim relief in a US$500m HKIAC arbitration (led by Charles Manzoni QC, SC and with Harrison Miao).
Appeared in a HK$100m ICC arbitration arising out of a distribution agreement (with Queenie Lau).
